The Pod Mod Fishboard design represents a complete redesign of the classic Pod, allowing for an even shorter and wider surfing experience. This board is specifically designed for surfers looking for even more volume without sacrificing premium performance. To ensure outstanding glide even in smaller waves, the tail of this surfboard has been widened and the previous single-to-double concave has been replaced with a flat entry into a concave vee, allowing for quick rail-to-rail transitions. In 2000, the original Pod Fish design enjoyed popularity virtually overnight.

Experienced surfers should choose this surfboard 3-6 inches shorter than their own height to get the full potential of this board.

The PodMod Fish surfboard was developed in collaboration between CHANNEL ISLANDS and Al Merrick and manufactured in Torq Surfboards' X-lite2 technology. This innovative technology makes the Fishboard exceptionally light and durable. The surfboard is available in black, white, red and blue and features 5 Futures fin boxes, allowing the board to be surfed as either a quad, thruster or twin fin.

X-Lite Technology

TORQ X-LITE TECHNOLOGY:

Torq X-Lite technology takes the already innovative epoxy construction to unimagined levels of weight and performance. The core of the boards consists of a custom-made, high-precision EPS blank, which is coated with biaxial fabric and epoxy resin. An additional layer of impact resistant protective mesh is applied to the deck of the X-Lite boards, distributing the pressure of impacts evenly over the surface to protect against dings and heel dents. The underside features a torsion-resistant Carbon Strip that controls flex and gives the board incredible responsiveness.

The X-Lite construction is distinguished from the conventional PU/polyester construction by its more environmentally friendly production process and the unrivalled ratio of weight and robustness.
